King Take 2

King David. Peter Paul Rubens, 1577-1640.

1 Samuel 15:34 – 16:13
For Sunday, June 17, 2012
Proper 6

Despite the nation of Israel’s misguided selection of Saul as their King versus their Heavenly Father, God did not punish them unendingly. Instead, he replaced a bad King Saul with a good King David. David wasn’t perfect. No King but Jesus could be that, but David was good.

God won’t punish us for our bad choices either. Life won’t be perfect but it can be very very good.
